Abstract

There are many oil palm plantations in this Bengkalis area, on which extensive canal plantations are a source of water used to irrigate gardens. However, this canal can be used as an alternative transportation of plantation products, as a means of water transportation the author raises the title Conveyor ship design to control palm oil. Conveyor ship design is made to be easy in transporting the harvest with Conveyor as a loading and unloading tool. The numerical method is used to find the main size of the ship, and the design process using maxsurf and autocad software. For calculation of ship construction using ABS rules 2013 as a reference for calculating construction requirements.

From the results of the study found the main size of the ship LOA = 14 m, B = 4 m, H = 1.4 m, and T = 0.9 m, and the conveyor on the load tank with size L = 10 m, B = 3 m, and H = 2 m . Where is the weight of the Conveyor total of 1.3 tons. Conveyor planned to have three main parts and equipped with 3 drive motors which can be conditioned according to need, 3 ship crews are needed to control and arrange the cargo that enters through the conveyor in the cargo tank on board.
